Court Appointed Attorneys

Defendants charged with a DUI, misdemeanor offenses or probation violations that are financially unable to employ counsel (indigent), may have counsel appointed to them.

The defendant must truthfully complete a sworn Affidavit of Indigency.  The Court may appoint an attorney if the Judge determines the defendant is indigent.

The Court is not obligated to appoint counsel to criminal defendants who can afford their own counsel.
