Business License Renewal Reminder
City of Hartselle business (privilege) licenses are renewed annually and are due January 1st of each year. Licenses become delinquent as of February 1st. Every business operating within the City of Hartselle is required to obtain a license authorizing it to legally conduct business within the City limits. Courtesy renewal forms have been mailed to existing businesses. License renewal forms are also available via email or in-person at the Hartselle Municipal Building.
Alcohol licenses are issued on a calendar-year basis as well, and must also be renewed during the month of January. All new alcohol license applications are reviewed by the Alcohol Review Committee (ARC), which makes a recommendation to the City Council for final consideration.
Mobile Food Unit licenses and permits must also be renewed during the month of January. Please call (256) 773-2535 to schedule an inspection prior to license renewal.
