The building office of the Engineering Department is responsible for inspections and permit issuance within the City of Hartselle. Inspections are performed on new construction as well as room additions and alterations on residential and commercial structures. Other responsibilities within this office include:
- Processing and approving new construction permit applications
- Reviewing construction drawings
- Issuing Building Permits
- Interpreting Building Code
